The exhibition industry in Russia is independent and rapidly expanding. There is a tendency to diversify the exhibition business in the regions while the majority of exhibitions are still held in Moscow and Saint Petersburg .

Large foreign exhibition companies have strengthened their presence in Russia over the past few years leading to considerable improvements.

Expocentr in Moscow has recently increased in size and is currently adding a new hall of 40,000 sqm. The All-Russia Exhibition Centre is adding 30,000 sqm of exhibition space.

There is also speculation that a new exhibition venue near Moscow ’s international airport will eventually replace Expocentr and could possibly provide 300,000 sqm of exhibition space.
